Abstract
Ramsay Hunt syndrome (RHS) is a neurologic disorder with symptoms of ear blisters and facial nerve paralysis caused by varicella zoster virus (VZV). We report a case of a 74-year-old male who had symptoms similar to RHS, but was tested positive for herpes simplex virus instead of VZV, which could be defined as Ramsay Hunt- like syndrome. The patient¡¯s symptoms advanced to multiple cranial neuropathy including glossopharyngeal nerve palsy and vagus nerve palsy.
